Our special idea is to use and spread the word that bamboo is the crop that should be prefered for green plastics and lots of other uses. We know that growing bamboo is more environmentally friendly than growing trees to produce tetra packaging. Some of the facts we have found to prove this are that a stand of bamboo produces 35% more oxygen than an equivalent stand of trees, some species remove 12 tons of CO2 from the air per hectare, it can be grown in large quantities quickly and its roots prevent soil erosion. Our idea is to place water turbines in every drain pipe because the water from the rain, baths, showers, sinks and toilet flushing goes down the drain.
